Course dates
The Goethe C1 exam preparation course can start at any time of the year, individual lessons or in small groups.

Course duration group classes
The group course (3-4 students) for Goethe C1 exam preparation lasts 8 sessions of 90 minutes and includes all preparation material. For students who are very nervous, who are perfectionists, who are afraid of exams, I recommend an individual course.

Duration of the individual course
Some people have had exam traumas since childhood, or a high level of perfectionism, other obstacles such as migraines, stressful periods, pressure to pass the C1 exam and need very personalised lessons to cope with the C1 Goethe exam. In individual lessons it is more difficult to predict the exact duration of the C1 exam preparation course. Both for the student and the teacher these are very demanding situations.

Content of the course
In the course we practise the 4 parts of the Goethe C1 exam, we do several model tests, we analyse your mistakes and I give you a lot of tips that are not in the preparation books. In addition, we also pay a lot of attention to time and nerve management, which is a very important point that is often forgotten in most Goethe C1 exam preparation courses. To pass the C1 Goethe exam you need six key aspects:

Is it possible to pass the C1 exam without having a real C1? Sometimes yes, but it also depends on the luck factor and the difficulty of the exam. What you need to be very clear about is the following:

Preparing for a C1 exam is different from a normal learning process, they are two very different fields.

  • A good preparation
  • Controlling the time for each part of the exam
  • Controlling your nerves during the exam
  • Having “trained” for difficult situations that can occur during the exam, for example in the verbal test. You may come across a student who is totally blocked or who does not have the required level. Examination centres do not usually do a “pre-test” of the verbal level. In theory, a student with an A2 level can sit the C1, which can be detrimental to the verbal exam mark of a candidate who does have a C1 level. I will soon write an article on this subject.
  • Automating structures for the verbal and written part of the exam.
If one of the points fails, it is difficult to pass the whole exam.

Her comment about the German classes:

“I started with Tobias after passing the B2 thanks to a lot of effort, personal sacrifice and little help. After having tried academies, individual private lessons and self-taught learning, Tobias was my salvation. To get my C1 had become a necessity in order to get my medical degree recognised in Germany and to increase my chances of being hired, and although dedicating 100% of my time to it did a lot, the help, knowledge and above all the moral support that Tobias gave me was fundamental.

Tobias is more than just a teacher, he is a companion on a journey that is often frustrating and difficult: learning a language as demanding as German. For this I will be eternally grateful to him. I wish there were more teaching professionals as dedicated as he is. ”

For this and for everything… DANKE TOBIAS!

Her opinion about the German classes:

“I started from zero and, thanks to Tobias, I have achieved a real and certified C1 level in just one year!!!!  I have had about three 90-minute lessons per week, which means that I have reached C1 four times faster than what is usually estimated for this level. Without a doubt, a great saving of time and money.

Of course, behind this achievement there are hours of study, dedication, perseverance… But, frankly, I would not have been able to achieve it without Tobias. He is not only a great German teacher; he is a great coach/personal trainer with whom you can learn German in an effective, natural way… and even fun! In my opinion, to learn German it is not only important to have a qualified and experienced teacher. To this you have to add the qualities of a coach: empathy, motivation, clarity, patience, the ability to create and maintain an environment of trust and respect…

Tobias is, without a doubt, the best German coach I know. And I would recommend him to anyone who needs/wants to learn German quickly and effectively.”
